  Admission in MCA (Master of Computer Application)  
  General:  
  The information and rules given hereby are applicable for admission to the First year of Three Year full time Post Graduate Degree Programme MCA of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University conducted at Institute of Management Kolhapur. The total sanctioned intake of MCA Programme is 60 seats.

The seats will be filled on merit based on their performance in B-CAT Test conducted by Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University at the designated centers.

One seat over and above the sanctioned intake in the Programme will be reserved for sons and daughters of migrants from Jammu & Kashmir valley and Defence and Civil Service personnel engagedmin fighting against terrorists activities in Jammu & Kashmir valley (Refer D.O.No.F.10-1/2003-Desk(U)dated 5-12-2003).The candidates to be admitted against these seats must have appeared at B-CAT Test conducted by Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University , Pune.

15% of the seats are reserved for Management Category. Candidates desirous of seeking admission though management category will have to appear for the B-CAT Test and they should separately apply to the Registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune on prescribed from available in the University Office.

  Eligibility  
  A candidate applying for the MCA Programme should have -

A Bachelor's degree with mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor's degree with mathematics. The candidates in their final year degree (Bachelor or Master) are also eligible to apply provided they complete their graduation requirements including practical Examinations, viva/assignments on or 27th June of the year. However such candidates will have to produce mark statement of the qualifying examination at the time of counseling. Under no circumstances will an extension of the deadline be made. The admission of students, will however, remain provisional until they produce the other documents the deadline for which in August last week, failing which the admission would automatically stand cancelled.

The candidate should be Indian National.

  Basis of selection for Admission  
 
A candidate desirous of seeking admission to MCA programme should fulfil the minimum eligibility condition as laid in above.
He / She must have appeared for the B-CAT Test conducted by Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University , Pune.
The candidates shall be selected for admission on the basis of their ranks in the selection list (prepared on the basis of the marks scored at B-CAT Test) and the
  availability of the seats for the programme at the time of counselling and admission.
In case of candidates securing equal marks, their relative rank will be determined on the basis of the following order of preference.....
In case of candidates scoring equal number of marks in B-CAT, the candidates will be ranked according to the percentage of marks scored in aggregate at the
  HSC or its equivalent examination.
If equal, the candidates will be ranked according to their percentage of marks scored in aggregate at SSC or its equivalent examination.
If equal, their relative rank will be determined on the basis of computerized random numbering.

  Nature of Entrance Test (B-CAT)  
 
The entrance test B-CAT for admission to MCA Programme consists of in all 200 marks
The duration of the B-CAT Test will be for two hours
The B-CAT Test will consist of in all 200 marks. It consists of 200 multiple choice questions with four alternatives for each. One has to chose the right / probable
  choice. There is no negative marking. The break up of the marks is as follows:-

Application Procedure

 
  A candidate desirous of seeking admission to MCA programme should submit the Application Form to the Registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Bharati Vidyapeeth Bhawan, L.B.S. Marg, Pune-411030 the Application Form , enclosed along with this brochure, duly completed along with payment of Rs. 600/ - towards Entrance Test fee in cash or through Bank Draft on any nationalised Bank or on any branch of Bharati Sahakari Bank Ltd. drawn in favour of "The Registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University" payable at Pune.

The complete application form along with payment of test fee is to be submitted to the the Registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Bharati Vidyapeeth Bhawan, L.B.S. Marg, Pune-30, either in person or through post / courier.

An incomplete Application Form or an Application Form not accompanied with necessary payment, will not be entertained and processed.

The University will not be responsible for any delay or loss of Application / counseling Letter / any communication in transit. Such a delay will not be condoned.

  Issue of Admission Cards  
  Admission cards for B-CAT Test will be dispatched by post to the candidates under the certificate of posting . The admissions card will indicate Roll Number and Test Center allotted to the candidate with its address.

The candidate must not mutilate the admission card or change any entry, made there in after it has been authenticated by the authorities.

In case the admission card is not received by a candidate , he /she should contact the office of the Bharati Vidyapeeth at New Delhi, kolhapur or Pune one day prior to test during working hours for collecting photographs along with him/her and a proof of submission / mailing of the application form.

  Counseling and Spot Admission  
  There will be result list showing rank of candidates based on performance at B-CAT Test. The counseling session will be held as per schedule at Pune in Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed Unversity.

The counseling session will be strictly conducted as per the scheduled time and date specified in this Brouchure. Any candidate in the List reporting after scheduled time will be offered seat as per availability of seats at the time of his/her turn for counseling.

The following Certificates in original along with duly attested 5 copies each of the same are to be submitted at the time of counseling :

Migration Certificate from the University from which the candidate has passed the last examination ( other than Bharati Vidyapeeth)
Transference / Leaving Certificate from the College last attended

Affidavit regarding Gap in education on Rs. 20/- Stamp Paper if applicable
Caste Certificate (in case of SC/ST candidates)
